As the younger ones celebrate, and we the no-longer-young ones celebrate along with them, let us remember that parents (whether biological or otherwise) have the primary authority and responsibility to groom, guide, and build the adults we desire our children to become. Children observe and absorb what they see, not necessarily what they hear. The quality of the next generation will determine the quality of our later years, so let us be sure to invest wisely.
